H. Elwell lock. 

Late lock by H. Elwell.  Golcher and many other US companies sold this same style lock. 

They were popular in the southern US in the late flintlock era.  These castings are

smooth with no stamped in engraving or makers stamp.  

Plate is 4 7/8" long and 31/32" wide, cock throw is 1 7/16"
